To satisfy building control requirements we need to remove some problem trees. Toby was so lovely to deal with. He promptly came round to look at the job, we had a quote the same day and a date scheduled for the work not long after that. Toby and his colleague (also called Toby) were super competent at removing trees, grinding the stumps, trimming remaining trees and tidying up afterwards. Very straightforward and transparent to deal and reasonably priced compared with other quotes.

We are very pleased with the work done by Toby and his team. We had a number of hedges that needed cutting back and shaping and they did an excellent job. They were very conscientious and liaised with us throughout to make sure we were happy with the results. They also did an excellent job of clearing away all the debris with the garden and drive looking immaculate after finishing. Above All Tree Care came highly recommended and we can see why. We will definitely plan to use them in the future.

What Happens When a Tree Comes Down in Hampton?

Hampton has a lot of established trees. Gardens are generous, the riverside setting encourages deep-rooted growth, and many of the trees around the area have been there for decades. Most of that is a good thing. But older, larger trees carry real weight, and when root systems are saturated after prolonged rain, or when a branch has been losing structural integrity for months without showing it, things can move without any notice at all.

A fallen tree on your property is not something to leave until tomorrow. Roofs, vehicles, fencing, outbuildings and neighbouring land can all be affected. The longer a compromised tree or branch is left in contact with a structure, the more the damage can compound.

Our team travels to Hampton ready to work. We do not arrive to assess and then leave to get equipment. We bring what the job requires and we get it done.

Is Your Tree an Emergency? Signs You Need to Call Now

Not every tree situation is urgent, but the following are. If any of these apply to what you are looking at right now, call us directly rather than filling in a form.

  • A tree or large branch has landed on your roof, car, or any structure on your property
  • Something has come down and is blocking your driveway or the road outside
  • A tree is leaning at a new angle that was not there before the last bout of wind
  • A branch has split partway through and is being held up only by surrounding growth
  • Roots have been undermined by flooding and the base of the tree feels or looks unstable
  • A tree has fallen through or onto a boundary fence or wall

Do not walk under a damaged tree, attempt to cut any part of it yourself, or try to pull branches free. Call 07919 147565 and we will take control of the situation from there.

How Tree Emergencies Are Handled in Hampton

What makes emergency tree work genuinely dangerous is not just the size of the tree. It is the combination of confined spaces, unpredictable weight distribution, and proximity to things that matter, vehicles, buildings, service lines overhead, or neighbouring properties.

Hampton properties often have relatively limited access. Trees close to brick walls, wooden outbuildings, or parked cars require a sectional removal approach where the tree comes down in controlled pieces, each one carefully lowered rather than dropped. That is not guesswork. It is the result of NPTC Level 3 training and years of doing this work.

Once the main removal is complete, we do not disappear. Every branch, every piece of debris, every fragment of bark comes off your property. The site is left clean.

Hampton Emergency Tree Removal Frequently Asked Questions

How quickly can you get to Hampton when a tree has just come down?

Response times depend on the time of day and current demand, but we prioritise genuine emergencies and aim to reach Hampton properties as fast as we possibly can, so call us directly on 07919 147565 rather than waiting on a form submission.

Is it safe to stay in the house if a tree has hit the roof?

Until we have assessed the load and the structural position of the tree, staying away from any rooms directly beneath the impact point is the safest approach.

What does emergency tree removal in Hampton typically cost?

The price depends on the size of the tree, how it has fallen, and what is beneath it, but we will give you a clear quote before any work starts so there are no surprises.

Do you remove the stump at the same time as the emergency removal?

We can include stump grinding as part of the same visit if access allows, or return separately once the emergency work is done.

Can you remove a tree that has landed across my neighbour's boundary?

Yes, as long as we have appropriate access and agreement in place, we can deal with trees that have crossed boundary lines during their fall.

Will my home insurance pay for emergency tree removal in Hampton?

Many home insurance policies cover emergency tree removal where a tree has caused damage to an insured structure, but you should check your policy wording directly as cover varies.

Do you work in Hampton outside normal business hours?

Call us on 07919 147565 and we will tell you what we can do based on what you are dealing with right now.

What should I do while I wait for the team to arrive?

Keep people and pets away from the fallen or leaning tree, do not attempt to move or cut any part of it, and if there is any risk to vehicles or a public road, contact the relevant authority to let them know.

How do I know whether a leaning tree in Hampton is actually dangerous?

If the lean appeared suddenly, if there is soil movement or root exposure at the base, or if the tree is near a structure, treat it as urgent and call us so we can assess it in person.

Do trees in Hampton near the river have different risks attached?

Riverside trees are frequently subject to root saturation and bank erosion, both of which can compromise stability, so prolonged wet weather is a particular trigger worth being aware of.

Can you provide documentation for my insurer after completing the work?

Yes, we can provide a written record of the work carried out, including the condition of the tree on arrival, which most insurers will accept as supporting evidence when processing a claim.

Does a Tree Preservation Order still apply if the tree has fallen in a storm?

Emergency works to make a TPO tree safe are generally permitted without prior consent, but you must notify Richmond upon Thames Council as soon as practicable after the work, and we can help you understand what that notification should include.

Will you clear all the debris from the site, or is that a separate arrangement?

Full site clearance is included as standard. We remove all timber, brash, and associated debris so the area is left clean and ready for whatever comes next, whether that is replanting, landscaping, or simply returning the garden to normal use.

Should I get the other trees on my property checked after a storm in Hampton?

It is always worth having remaining trees assessed after severe weather, as internal damage and root disruption are not always visible from the ground. We are happy to carry out a post-storm survey once the immediate emergency is dealt with.
