To satisfy building control requirements we need to remove some problem trees. Toby was so lovely to deal with. He promptly came round to look at the job, we had a quote the same day and a date scheduled for the work not long after that. Toby and his colleague (also called Toby) were super competent at removing trees, grinding the stumps, trimming remaining trees and tidying up afterwards. Very straightforward and transparent to deal and reasonably priced compared with other quotes.

We are very pleased with the work done by Toby and his team. We had a number of hedges that needed cutting back and shaping and they did an excellent job. They were very conscientious and liaised with us throughout to make sure we were happy with the results. They also did an excellent job of clearing away all the debris with the garden and drive looking immaculate after finishing. Above All Tree Care came highly recommended and we can see why. We will definitely plan to use them in the future.

Our Emergency Tree Removal Service

Trees can fall without any warning. Storms, high winds, flooding, or simply a tree that has been left too long without care. When it happens, it can block your driveway, damage your home, your fencing, or even fall into the road.

Leaving a fallen tree where it is not an option. It becomes a safety risk to you, your family, and anyone nearby. The longer it sits there, the worse the problem can get.

That is where we come in. We are a local tree surgery team based in Farnborough. We know the area, we know our trees, and we know how to deal with a fallen or dangerous tree quickly and safely. We carry the right equipment to handle trees of all sizes, and we will not leave until the job is done properly and the site is clean.

What Counts as a Tree Emergency?

Not sure if your situation needs emergency help? Here are some of the most common reasons people call us out:

  • A tree or large branch has fallen onto your property, car, or fence
  • A tree has come down in a storm and is blocking your driveway or the road
  • A tree is leaning badly after high winds and looks like it could fall
  • A branch is hanging loose and could drop at any moment
  • Flooding has destabilised a tree near your home
  • A tree has fallen and damaged your roof or outbuilding

If any of these sound familiar, call us straight away on 01252 968 045. Do not try to move or cut the tree yourself. This is dangerous work and needs trained hands.

Emergency Tree Removal Frequently Asked Questions

How much does emergency tree removal cost in Farnborough?

Emergency tree removal in Farnborough typically costs between £300 and £1,500 depending on the size of the tree, how it has fallen, and how difficult it is to access. Larger trees that have come down onto structures or are blocking roads will cost more due to the complexity of the work involved. We provide a clear price before we start so there are no surprises.

How quickly can you respond to an emergency tree removal in Hampshire?

Because we are based in Farnborough, we can often reach properties across Hampshire the same day you call. In many cases we are with you within a few hours of your call. Response time depends on the volume of jobs we are already attending, but we prioritise genuine emergencies where there is a risk to people or property.

How long does emergency tree removal take?

Most emergency tree removals take between two and five hours to complete. Smaller trees or single fallen branches can be cleared more quickly, while large trees that have come down onto a building or across a driveway may take a full day. We work efficiently and do not leave until the site is clear and safe.

Is emergency tree removal covered by home insurance?

It depends on your policy. Many home insurance policies will cover the cost of removing a fallen tree if it has caused damage to an insured structure such as your roof, fence, or garage. If the tree has fallen in the garden without causing structural damage, it may not be covered. We recommend contacting your insurer as soon as possible and we can provide documentation to support your claim.

What should I do immediately after a tree falls on my property?

Stay away from the fallen tree and keep everyone else away from the area. Do not attempt to move or cut the tree yourself. If the tree has brought down power lines, call your electricity provider immediately and do not go near the lines. Once everyone is safe, call a qualified tree surgeon to assess and remove the tree safely. Call us on 01252 968 045 and we will advise you straight away.

Can you remove a tree that has fallen on my car?

Yes. We regularly deal with trees and large branches that have come down on vehicles. We cut the tree into sections carefully to lift it clear of the car without causing any additional damage. Once the tree is removed, the vehicle damage is a matter for your motor insurer. We can provide a written report of the incident if needed.

Do you remove trees that are blocking the road?

Yes. If a tree has come down across a road or pavement, we can attend and cut it into sections to clear the route. In some cases, the local council or highways authority may also be involved if it is a public road. We work quickly to clear the obstruction safely and remove all debris from the area.

What is the difference between emergency tree removal and standard tree removal?

Standard tree removal is a planned job where a tree is felled in a controlled way, usually because it is dead, diseased, or unwanted. Emergency tree removal deals with trees that have already fallen or are in immediate danger of falling, often after a storm or high winds. Emergency work requires faster attendance, a different approach to safe working, and the ability to deal with unpredictable situations on site.

Do you offer emergency tree removal at weekends?

Yes. Trees do not fall to a schedule and neither do we. We are available to respond to emergency callouts across Farnborough and Hampshire at weekends. Call us on 01252 968 045 and we will do our best to get to you as quickly as possible regardless of the day.

Will you grind the stump after an emergency removal?

Yes. If the tree has come down from the base and left a stump behind, we can grind it down below ground level on the same visit or return to do it as a follow-up job. Stumps can become a trip hazard and attract pests such as beetles and fungi, so it is worth dealing with it while we are already on site.

Do I need planning permission to remove a fallen tree in an emergency?

In a genuine emergency where a tree poses an immediate risk to life or property, you are generally permitted to carry out the necessary work without prior consent, even if the tree has a Tree Preservation Order. However, you must notify the local planning authority as soon as possible after the work is done. If the tree is in a conservation area, the same applies. We can advise you on this when we attend.

How do I know if a leaning tree is a genuine emergency?

If a tree has developed a significant lean after a storm or high winds, particularly if you can see exposed roots, soil heave around the base, or cracking in the ground nearby, it should be treated as an emergency. A tree in this condition can fall at any point. Do not wait for it to come down. Call us on 01252 968 045 and we will come out and assess it for you.

Are your arborists insured for emergency tree work?

Yes. All of our work is covered by full public liability insurance. This applies to emergency callouts as much as to planned tree surgery jobs. You are fully protected when we are on your property. Our arborists are trained and qualified, which means the work is carried out to a professional standard every time.

Do you clear away all the wood and debris after an emergency tree removal?

Yes. Full debris removal and site clearance is included as standard. We section the tree, remove all the timber, branches, and any wood chip from site, and leave the area clean. If you would like to keep any of the logs for firewood, just let us know when we arrive and we will leave them stacked for you.
